Today I will be my own Superhero… {free printables}

Batman, Spiderman, Captain America, Ironman….they run around all day at my house. Yours? When I was approached by Family Fun Magazine to have a Superhero Cape Making party and Craft with a Cause with some of my friends, I was SO excited to help out. First let me tell you a little about the cause. Craft Hope and Enchanted Makeovers have come together to get superhero capes to kids in shelters all over the country.  Why capes? Enchanted Makeovers founder, Terry Grahl, explains that it’s not just because they lend themselves to imaginative play, but also because they remind kids that they don’t have to wait for a superhero…they can be one!

I am all over building up kids wherever we can, so I was thrilled to jump on board and have a fun girls night with my friends.

I used my Superhero Paper Tots as the basis for my invitation and the little decorating I did. (umm, I needed to put the tape further down on my wall …oops!) :)

I made a sweet little banner and new print to celebrate our purpose that night…and weren’t our brownies just the sweetest things ever?!

I have such awesome friends..we had a great time cutting and gluing and ironing and making these sweet little superhero capes.

We finished with 20 capes and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it all.

My daughter tried one out and had a blast being crazy for a photo shoot.

The capes are SUPER easy to make and as cute as ever.

To find out how you can be a part of this awesome cause, read all about it right HERE.

I am packaging my capes all up with a little print to remind the receiver that they can all be superheroes regardless of their circumstances.

I am also giving you all of my printables for the night to throw your own superhero party!

I believe everyone has a Superhero inside them print can be found HERE.

The little red, green and blue polka dotted flags can also be found HERE.

A big thanks to Family Fun for letting me  be a part of this. I hope you will find a few minutes to make some Superhero capes and be a part of this awesome cause!

Happy Superhero Cape Making!

Christmas Cupcake Wrappers {free printable}

Being a mother of 5 awesome munchkins makes Christmas SO exciting each year.  I have  2 kids in school and they like to take treats to their annual holiday party, but as you know, schools don’t allow homemade goodies, so we have to find a way to make store bought treats cute!  Today I want to share with you an idea to turn store bought cupcakes into cute holiday treats with Christmas cupcake wrappers.

They couldn’t be easier to put together (a must around this time of year!). To assemble, simply print out the free download, cut it out, hot glue a toothpick to the back of the heads (or tree) and then hot glue the cupcake wrapper to fit your cupcake, stick the head into the top of the cupcake and voila you are done!  There is even a space to write who the treat is from on the back.

Today you can grab Frosty:

Santa:

Rudolf:

and a Christmas Tree:

I did this same thing for Halloween and if you don’t want to take cupcakes, you can turn these into treat cups. You can see the how-to directions HERE.

I hope your holidays are fantastic and that you get to spend time with those that matter most.

Don’t forget to visit my Christmas shop where you can find lot of last minute printable gifts and decor. Perfect for that someone who has everything!

Christmas is a coming!

I am always amazed at how quickly the last 3 months of the year go. With 3 big holidays and 2 birthdays (on the same day!) this time of year flies!

Before we get into the new holiday prints that I will have coming out, I wanted to remind you of a few of the things I have in my shop now. I have seen an increase in sales for the Christmas items again..you guys are ON TOP of it.  You make me want to go and get my shopping done early so I can enjoy the holidays with my fam!

Last year I made this BIG Christmas print:
You can find it here in sizes ranging from 8×10 up to 36×48! I even have Christmas Card Postcards you can buy and print yourself. Just think..your cards could be all ready to go on time this year!

 I also made a Printable Christmas Countdown House. My kids are so excited to get going on it again!

You can find the Christmas Countdown house HERE in all 3 editions to choose from!

Lastly, I also made a Printable Nativity Set .

It is the perfect way to teach your kids without having to worry about them breaking a nice creche that you might have. If they rip one of these…no big deal, just print again.

My kids have been getting ours out throughout the year to play with it. It is so fun to see it being used!

You can find the Nativity set HERE.

Seeing all of this gets me so excited for Christmas..(but don’t worry, Thanksgiving is still one of my favs too!) :)

NEXT week I will be debuting my new Christmas additions and having a pre-sale…you won’t want to miss it!
