FAQ

What is a digital print?

One of my biggest goals when opening up an etsy shop over 4 years ago was to give ANYONE the ability to have fun and unique pieces of art in their home for a bargain of a price. I priced my prints at the low end of the market and they were super successful. I spent hours a day fulfilling orders…printing, packing, and shipping. My kids dreaded the post office and soon I did too.

I knew I needed a change when I had my 4th child and I was waking up from 3-6 am to fulfill orders so that I could spend the day doing what I feel is my biggest blessing and “job”..being a mother. I did this for awhile, but it wore on me quickly! I soon realized I couldn’t do this for long and made a switch to the digital print.

In a nutshell, a digital print is a print that you will be emailed. You will get the file and will be able to print it either at home or at ANY professional printer. Some can even be printed as a picture. Why would I do this? This has opened up a whole new world. One, I feel I am giving you a better deal. You can buy the print one time and print it as many times as you would like! That means you can keep the file and print it when you need a quick and thoughtful gift. I priced them low to make sure that it stays with my original goal…getting fun and unique pieces of art in everyone’s home! And this has given me more time to design and get more prints out for you! I now don’t have to spend hours printing, packing and shipping, but rather seconds emailing. It’s a win-win for both the customer and owner.

How much does it cost to print? 5×7 files come with 2 per 8 1/2″x11″ piece of paper and can be printed on a high quality cardstock for less than $1.50…so 75 cents a piece. Not bad, right? 8×10’s run about $1.50, 11×14’s run about $2.50 and anything bigger will be sent in photo format so that you can print with ease at Costco.

Thanks for your support helping me keep my dream alive!

How long will it take to get my order?

For all digital prints, it’s automatically emailed to you upon receipt of purchase. You can have the file within minutes and print it out right away.

For all physical prints, give us 7-10 days to get that print in your hands. Because volume of orders is sometimes larger than others, please be patient as we are a very small business with just a few hands doing the work! Anytime you have questions, please email me at kikicreates at gmail dot com and I am happy to answer any of your questions.

For all book orders, please give 2-3 weeks to get the book in your hands. Your book is ordered upon receipt of payment. Each book is freshly printed and sent directly to you by my supplier.

Where can I print my digital print?

The digital print comes in 2 formats, either pdf, jpeg or both.

PDF format is best printed either at home or at a professional print shop. My favorite to use is FedEx Kinkos and their cardstock 100 lb laser or gloss cover is my favorite paper to print on.

JPEG format is a photo format. You can print at any photo store. My favorite is Costco, but remember to check the “Do not autocorrect” button before you checkout.

Why is my print blurry?

When you download your print, make sure you download and save it to your computer. Clicking on the print and right clicking to save will save the file at 72 dpi, which will be blurry. By clicking the download button and saving to your computer, you will get a file of at least 300 dpi, which should be very crisp.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes! I do take on all kinds of custom orders. I do logo design, custom prints, t-shirt designs, etc. You can contact me or email me at kikicreates at gmail dot com to get my current rates and put your name on my list. I look forward to working with you!

Did you know that your Isaiah 9:6 print has a misspelled word?

I am aware of the word “counsellor” in the print. I used direct spelling from the KJV version of the Bible. It is an older spelling, but wanted to stay true to that version.
