Painting with Water from Craftaholics Anonymous {Fun in the Sun}

I’m so happy to have Linda from Craftaholics Anonymous here today to share a fun activity. She needs no introduction to how amazing and fun her blog and all of the projects within it are! Each week Linda shares a new tutorial and even her Facebook page has a wealth of knowledge (she allows ANY crafting question to be asked and then anyone can answer…it’s a great place to get any kind of “inside” tip!) Mostly though, I love to read Craftaholics Anonymous because of the simple and easy-to-follow tutorials that help you end up with a great project each time. Here is Linda:

Hi there! My name is Linda and I am the craft addict behind Craftaholics Anonymous. I’m excited to be here to show you a fun AND free summer activity to do with your preschoolers and toddlers this summer! Its perfect for warm weather fun and a breeze to clean up.

Painting with Water

Paint your driveway with water! {have you done this before?} I grabbed some foam brushes from my craft room, plastic cups, water, and my favorite boys and they had a ball making all kinds of wet creations. No need to worry about the “paint” running out with a hose near by!

As you can see, the water gets dirty quickly. But have no fear, the garden hose is near!

Make it funner and have different sizes of brushes and sponges for the kids to use.

and of course, after they got bored with painting, they started playing in the water….

Thanks for having me over to play today! You can find new craft tutorials each week on my blog, Craftaholics Anonymous!

happy crafting,

linda

I LOVE this! When my husband was in law school in Ohio and I had LONG summer and fall days, this activity was one of my little boys favorites..they would paint our wooden fence for hours at a time. Thanks SO much, Linda.  Make sure to run over and check out Craftaholics anonymous. Some of my favorites include:

T-shirt Pom Pom Wreath, Corner Shelf made from a door, Zipper ruffle ballet flats
