September Calendar {Free Download}

Today I am excited to share with you a quick tutorial on how to make this fun little flip calendar.  It is colorful, fun and useful. And do want to know the best part? I will be sharing free monthly numbers and do-dads for each month right here!  September is my first installment!
First of all, lets get the base ready.  You will need:
A base sign (I bought mine at Michaels..in their unfinished wood projects. It is  11 1/4″x 7 1/4″.  It cost $4.99, but with my 40% coupon, it was $3.00)
paint (any color you want your calendar base to be)
paint brush
book rings (i used big ones)
small c hooks (i used 5/8″ ones..you can use smaller!)
something to drill holes.
Here is what I started with:
I painted it black, drilled holes..2 per card, and placed my c hooks in the bottom:

I added the book rings and a bit of glue (gorilla glue or any strong craft glue) to the back:

You are now ready for the cards.  Just simply punch the holes in them where you want them to hang.
I just love how fun it is each day to change the day…and it will be different each day whether the 18th..

or the 20th!
I gave you two options for the month sign this month:

and in case you want to give as a gift now..or say Christmas time..there will be a set of tags each month!
You can see everything included in the set here:
Fun, right?!  To download, simply go here to get the files. Remember, Free Downloads are for followers of Kiki Creates only (takes just a second over on the sidebar!). Thanks.
Next month will be a countdown to Halloween and will be up the last week of this month.
This was previously on Fall Fever at Every Creative Endeavor…but I figured I had better put it up pretty quickly in order for you to get this up and made!
