There are so many things I worried about before becoming a mom. I worried about keeping my kids safe. When my husband and I went out to buy a car seat for our first baby, we researched and bought the best seat we could for the money we had (which wasn’t much!). As we drove home for the first time with our baby, I sat in the back with the baby and was paranoid the whole time. No matter how slow my husband drove, it seemed too fast! Now having 5 kids, I realize I can’t keep them safe from everything, but there is a lot I can do to prevent injuries. That is why when I was contacted by Britax to try out one of their convertible car seats, I jumped at the chance as I had heard nothing but amazing things from friends who swore by them! They sent a Boulevard 70-G3 and my almost 2 year old was the lucky recipient to try it out.
When I took the car seat out of the box it came in, I mentioned to my husband that this was a Cadillac of carseats, and that was BEFORE I saw it in action. Since trying it out, there are a few things that I LOVE about this seat.
1-I love how easy it was to install. There is nothing that drives me crazier than trying to install something that comes with little or no instructions. Britax makes this super easy with a good size instruction manual, but I watched a few of their videos and it made it a snap to get ready for my boy.
2-It literally hugs my child in his seat. You can read all about the head, neck and body impact prevention and innovation they have put into their seats, but the first time you put your child in the seat you can SEE and FEEL it. It is so nice to know that my kids is safe in his car seat.
3-It is made really well. Have you ever had a car seat where you look at the construction of it and the materials used and wonder IF it would hold up in a car crash? I know I am definitely guilty of this, so it is really nice to know how much safety testing and construction went into making a car seat that will hold up.
I went out to my car to grab something tonight and seeing the empty car seats in it reminded me how grateful I am for companies who work so hard to make sure their products will keep my cargo safe.
Because my most precious cargo are the 5 little munchkins who call me mom…
and there is nothing that I want more than to keep them protected.
