Busy Week Crafting {fun and simple projects}

What a week this has been! I don’t know what happened to my calendar, but it blew up this week. You ever feel like that? I looked at my calendar at the beginning of the week and didn’t know how I would get everything done. This week is a really special week for our family as our second boy, Lincoln, is being baptized.  He has been working on filling out the new baptism book I designed for his big day. He will have his book at his baptism to have the people who attend sign his book, but I wanted something else on the table with it and when I got the opportunity to work with Heidi Swapp’s new line of memory keeping products, I knew it would be perfect for this:
I had so much fun playing around with everything from papers to glitter alphabet stickers to her line of resist papers and ended up making this sweet little page to put on the chevron chipboard easel for the baptism:
Aren’t all those little details so fun! Those GLITTER alphabet stickers. (swoon)
I am in love with the Color Magic line. The products have a color resist pattern/image on them so you can add her super fun Color Shine spray (which sprays on the surface and you wipe it off), you can use paint (which is what I used for this clipboard since I wanted a specific color) or you could even leave it plain (like I did above). I love that you can see the pattern with or without the color.
The products are super versatile, which I love. I can make cards, pages for scrapbooks, display pieces for my home…and the list goes on.  Look how fun the patterns are on this Color Magic paper. I tried to take a picture of the shine that you get by using the Color Shine spray. It is gorgeous!
And the best part?!  I love that you can find all of her line at most JoAnn’s stores and on their website, so it is easy for everyone to get.
In addition to making a sweet little display piece for my son’s baptism, I also made a sweet little piece to put in my guest room. Love that you can change out the pieces for different rooms in your house and even for different occasions.
Mostly though, it was so fun to sit down one afternoon and just get lost in creating. I find myself on weeks like this one in a whirlwind. When I carved out some time to sit down, get my hands dirty and get creating, I found some peace amidst the whirlwind!  I hope your weekend is filled with some sweet memories.
Don’t forget to head to JoAnn’s to find the new Heidi Swapp line and #makeprettystuff!
