We have been having such a great time making memories this Christmas season with our Christmas Countdown house!
Last night, I quickly hit the store and grabbed 3 boxes of flavored candy canes and we hit the town looking for the best lights display around. We had Christmas tunes blasting as we oohed and ahhhhed over all of the lights and each one of my older children picked their favorite. We filled out the certificate and added the box of candy canes and my kids walked up to the house, knocked and when the door was answered said, “We are doing a really fun family project. We think you have one of the best lights display in town. Merry Christmas!” I stood behind them and loved seeing the homeowners face turn from confusion to the biggest smiles around!
We decided when we got home that this will definitely be a yearly tradition for us. It is so much fun to bring the Christmas spirit to your own family by spending time together, but add on top of that, making someone else smile and it goes to a whole new level.
