I don’t know about you, but at my house there are certain toys that are must haves! As a mother of 4 kids..I know I rely on tried and tested toys when I am purchasing them. I love to ask my friends what is working for them. This recommendation came from one of my best friends. We got our Citiblocs about a year ago and they are still the go-to toy in our house for my 6 and 8 year old boy. CitiBlocs are a simple 4 1/2″ x 1″ block of wood that can stacked and put together to form so many fun designs.
In my house each day after lunch, my kids have a quiet time in their rooms so that we can all have a little down time. (This definitely breaks up our inside days.) My 8 year old builds all kinds of things with them, but lately he has been into making his own version of video games with CitiBlocs and other figurines and toys. My kids love Bike Baron on the iPad,so this is his version with CitiBlocs:
He did this one day and then came and got me and of course I snapped some pics while he showed me how the game worked.

Another day, he came to get me to show me the soccer game that he made. I love all the thought and details he put into his designs.
One of my favorites was the crowd of spectators on bleachers. Looks like a fun crowd!

These are awesome and reminds me of the wooden blocks my dad made me and they were my favorite to play with.
I hadn’t seen these blocks before but now I so want a set for my two boys. We are just getting into building imaginary things to go with car/truck love so these would be perfect. Love your site and love your work!
